Ginan – Bharame na bhuliye
This ginan is written by Pir Satgur Noor and in a very simple language explains us the reality of life. Our body is made of earthly ingredients and it has a SOUL in it. Then he goes on explaining the body in many ways that it is dirty and temporary. The pir says that don’t fall into the illusion that body is everything and take too much pride in it. The body is dirty, stinky and throws out smells from 9 openings of the body. The nine openings are 2 nostrils, 2 ears, 2 eyes, 1 mouth and 2 outlets for our poo and pee.
Your body is given a cover of skin and within it a good part is filled with your waste product like pee and poo and is entangled with veins. When the soul comes out of your body, right away it starts to smell. The people who loved you want to get rid of your body as soon as possible. When buried it is eaten up by worms, when burnt it turns into ashes and if left lying in the open animals eat it.
So the advice of the pir is to turn to the other part of your life which is your SOUL. Spend more time trying to understand what is the SOUL and get into the habit of thinking about it and don’t spend too much time praising your body which is going to disappear once the soul is out of it. YOUR SOUL IS ETERNAL.
In this article I will take 3 couplets of the ginan and write on them. Hopefully will help you in life. The first couplet is as follows:
Bae bae lochan sarvene, vidya lochan trun,
Sapat lochan dharamna, juo vichari jun.
Bae means 2, lochan means eyes, vidya means education, trun means three, Sapat means 7.
The pir says every human being has 2 eyes which they are born with. When they take education they get the third eye. When they start understanding the religion they get seven eyes and then he says think about this. The extra eyes mentioned are not physical eyes but are the inner eyes which help you understand more about the SOUL AND THE CREATION OF GOD.
The second couplet goes this way:
Eji lakh lochan che gnan na, jenu var na paar,
Aatma tatva ne je odkhe, te che sarma saar.
Lakh means 100,000 – gnan is knowledge – Aatma tatve is the essence of the SOUL.
The person who has the knowledge of the essence of the SOUL has 100,000 inner eyes, which means has the power of understanding the essence of the SOUL. Then the pir goes on to say that a person who understands the essence of the SOUL he is the best of the best.
The third couplet goes this way:
Eji tatva ginan trun lok ma, samje koik sant,
Teni drashti sagde fare, teni aankhu anant
The essence of the spiritual knowledge is in three worlds, the underground world, the on ground world and the above ground world. Only very few people understand that. These are the people whose thoughts and understanding roam in all three worlds and they possess innumerable eyes which means they have unlimited knowledge of the world of souls.
I hope this will give you some understanding of the ginan. Read, understand and give importance to the SPRITUAL PART OF YOUR LIFE.
