Ginan - Vaavsho tevu Lunsho
This Ginan is written and composed by Pir Sadardin. The gist of this ginan is “AS YOU SOW SO SHALL YOU REAP.”
Pir Sadardin says in this ginan that whatever you sow that is what you will reap. If you sow rice you will get rice in the crop, again if you sow wheat you will get the crop of wheat and so on. Then he follows up by telling us to show him if you have seen anyone getting the crop without sowing the seeds.
The main message here is to work hard for whatever you want. Without hard work the possibilities of success is nil. Then he follows up by relating the true path of Ismailism and says that hundreds of thousands have benefitted by following this path so do not run around looking for help from other faiths, gurus, pandits, maulvi etc. The highest level of spirituality is available in our faith. Just follow the teachings of the Imams and the Pirs, work hard and enjoy the benefits.
Later Pir Sadardin has cited some examples of the past history about 5 Pandavas, king Harischandra and his family. Both these families had to suffer in this physical world, go through too many hardships, but eventually they benefited immensely. King Harischandra accepted the true path (which means where the Imam and the Pir were present). The Imams and Pirs in their times were known by different names. Imam was known as Vishnu and Pir as Brahma. Imam was also known as Patra as written in a ginan “Partak Patra ne Parkhi ne”.
However the central idea of the ginan is that Pir says without hard work no one has achieved SPIRITUAL SALVATION and then he asks us the question as to how you will achieve the SPIRITUAL SALVATION if you do not work hard for it.
